The increasing establishment of search systems for library electronic resources retrieval has to a great extent met the diverse information requirements of library users. High-level usability is a very important target for library services to achieve, regarding how to enable library users to conduct federated searches through simple and user-friendly interfaces to reach worldwide information online. This study, based on SmartWeaver as a research platform, aims to investigate the usability of this search system by testing the operation of SmartWeaver in library services and by distributing questionnaires to random samples of library users in the Providence University.
