Many supporters would show their passion and encouragement for their loved team by holding the slogan posters, or wearing colorful makeup on the faces. Who among the best of eight in the end is capable of cutting down the championship basket net and win the ultimate triumph after all the intense games from preliminaries, the second round and semi-finals. What makes HBL so appealing that the pomp of every competition season finals is splendid? With the collection and analysis of the HBL-related data from past years, this research focused on the historical background of the Senior High School Student Sports Federation, the history of the development of HBL (initial period, reformation period, development period, maturation period and transition period), the Competition Jury Committee within the HBL framework (Technical Committee), player qualification, match design and the mechanism for entering the higher education level to discuss the key factors caused the success of HBL.
