The pain of breast engorgement is a common problem among breast-feeding women, and it may interrupt breast-feeding. We used electronic database systematic review in our literature search, to actually understand the way of cabbage leaves that filled the breast pain. Four articles were chosen for critical review. Results: Postpartum breast engorgement always interferes with breast-feeding, and occurs most frequently in the first 72 hours. Cold or hot compress, cold or room temperature cabbage leaves packings can be used to decrease the pain of breast engorgement. The study showed that we put cabbage leaves in the refrigeration for 20 minutes and packed one of them on postpartum women's breast for 30minutes, then repeated the intervention three times a day. Cabbage leaves packings had a direct effect on breast engorgement and they were non-invasive, easy to learn procedure for postpartum women. The results provide a diverse method to the pain of breast engorgement, creating a more sustained breast-feeding and improving the quality of care.
