Food is a symbol that represents the social context of different cultures. It is not only to feed the appetites but also derivative diversity of cultural references which present the writer's cultural space and the historical imagination. Ye Si (1948-) Ruen Hua Wang (1941-) are the same generation poets, the former is in Hong Kong; and the latter is in Singapore. The areas which the two writers have faced the British Colonial dominated and detached. To explore how they spread out the literary creation of Post-colonial perspective from they own historical experience and develop the specific East Asian/Southeast Asian literary context is the key point in this essay.In the description strategy of this poem, Ye Si expresses Hong Kong as the space case, the integration of several ethnic, cultural, or transformation in the root. It collages the spirit images of Asia in the taste buds of the communion. Liang travel from Hong Kong to observe every country's food culture, and reflect on their own historical context, his poems are full of multicultural acceptance and imagination.Ruen Hua Wang use the personification of fruit sucked to construct the myth and classics of tropical fruits. He emphasize on nationalism on his own country. The main demand of the poem is identify issue. Both are based on postcolonial perspective but with heterogeneity. It makes eating poetry develop at the same step but outward manifestations to construct the dialogue literature space of East Asia/Southeast Asia.
