To enhance the likelihood of success for a product’s launch onto the market, it is essential both to assess the attractiveness of the product during the design stage and to remedy any perceived form-related defects if necessary. However, few practical approaches exist for developing attractiveness survey. Consequently, product designers lack reliable indicators to guide their design efforts in developing products that satisfy the consumers’ needs. Therefore, this study proposes a structural approach based on an Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) to develop attractiveness survey. The structural approach includes two stages: (A) Classification of questions on attractiveness via ISM and (B) Modification of the questionnaire on attractiveness via AHP. The proposed structural approaches help develop a reliable attractiveness questionnaire.research
