The purposes of this study were to investigate the situations of early childhood educators' educational profession beliefs and the differences based on their background variables. The valid questionnaires answered by early childhood educators from 99 nursery schools in Pingtung were 558 copies. The results of this study are shown as follows: 1. Generally, the early childhood educators in Pingtung possess positive educational profession beliefs. 2. The overall mean value of the six belief areas in the early childhood educators’ perceptions were rated as follows: professional growth, professional ethics, professional independence, professional identification, professional service and professional competence. 3. Different kinds of educators’ background, attended professional conference in early childhood education has significant difference on professional beliefs.
