This study was aimed to analyze the attacking punches of the contestants in the final of the 2010 World Female Boxing Championships. The 20 contestants of all the weight classes in the final were regarded as the research objects to analyze the variations among the frequency distributions of six punches, respectively jabs, straight punches, left hooks, right hooks, left uppercuts, and right uppercuts, and the percentages. There were two findings. (1) All of the winners and losers in different weight classes used jabs, straight punches, and left hooks much more than other punches in terms of the six types of punches. (2) All of the winners and losers in different rounds used jabs, straight punches, and left hooks much more than other punches in terms of the six types of punches. It was thus concluded that the contestants in the final of the 2010 World Female Boxing Championships mainly used jabs, straight punches, and left hooks more than other punches in different weight classes and rounds. Hope this result can be used as a reference by current domestic boxing coaches.
