Body is a characteristic which differentiates athletes and normal people. Even on athletes, the needs of body abilities are different because of different sports items. In tennis, body abilities stand for personal technique styles and levels. During the process of learning tennis techniques, tennis techniques are formed by not only thinking which leads body to learn techniques but also body's initiatives which produce body experiences. The purpose of this study is using participant observation and interview to explore tennis players' bodily senses in the process of their learning techniques. Besides, the study tries to analyze how bodies join techniques learning initiatively and build tennis players' bodily senses system. Research discovered that the cultivation of a tennis player is a process of mutual construction between mind and the subjectivity of the body. Tennis players had bodily senses of loose and tight, smooth and not smooth, safe and unsafe, familiar and unfamiliar, when playing tennis. In addition, ball senses include feeling of time, space, contact. Beside the basic vertical relation between age and grade, the subjectivity of the body: ball senses is the major factor of the status in teams.
