The landscape of the atrium of the residential buildings was the study subject. After being identified in the literature review method, the evaluation factors relevant with the design of the atrium of the residential buildings were screened in the fuzzy Delphi method (FDM) of the expert evaluation approach and the non-fuzzy weight value of the evaluation factors and indicators were figured out in the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP). In phase two, how the residents of the residential buildings valued the evaluation factors in this study was known using the questionnaire. And then the results in respects of experts and residents were compared and analyzed. The study results showed that, overall, the experts valued the evaluation factors for the excellent residential buildings to the same degree as the residents did regarding the factors such as the physical environment, construction technology, material and management and maintenance of the atrium, except the factors such as the design and living environment of the atrium. Based on the evaluation structure of this study, it was indicated that the experts had the opinions similar to those of the residents.4
