由於資訊部門在晶圓代工產業鏈協同作業的演進歷程中,扮演重要的支援性角色。因此,本研究由資訊部門的角度探究全球前兩大晶圓代工廠之競爭優勢。本研究結果顯示,晶圓代工廠之資訊部門透過強化客戶之間的協同電子商務活動,支持技術領先、製造領先與服務領先等優勢。並提出資訊部門應建立以客戶為中心的服務文化,從客戶的角度調整提供給客戶的資訊;調整與強化服務相關的人力資源配置;統一服務窗口及提供客戶一次購足之服務;強化企業對企業間的電子協同商務,以滿足世界各國客戶跨地域、跨時差及提供7天24小時的服務;配合公司發展重點,強化半導體產業上下游業者之合作夥伴關係。本文的重要性在說明公司非核心部門對公司競爭力也能產生極大化他的價值。
IC foundry companies' IT department plays an important role in supporting collaborative commerce evolution. This study explored the competitive advantage of the top two IC foundry companies in the world from IT departments' point of view. The results show that the IC foundry companies support technology leadership advantage, manufacturing leadership advantage, and service leadership advantage through the collaboration commerce activities between customers. This study also shows that the IT department should focus on the following issues to pursue the long-term competitive advantages. The IT department should establish a customer-focused service culture; adjust the human resources allocation into more service-related filed; unify service window and provide customers one-stop service; enhance business to business (B2B) e-commerce applications; satisfy customers around the world which cross-regional, cross-time difference and provide 24x7 service; accompany with the company's development, strengthen cooperation relationship between the players in IC industry value chain. The most important thing in this study is non-core department still can maximize his value to support the company's competence.
