Following continuous development of global information technology, libraries are experiencing the transformation from ”book-centered” to ”human-centered”. The trend of library space development demonstrates from simple to diverse; from close to open. It emphasizes more on space adaptability, flexibility and substitution. Under the conception of ”human-centered approach”, library design has to reveal affinity, exchange and aesthetic characteristics. This paper employs library interior remodel of China University of Petroleum (Huadong) as case study to further interpret spatial design concept under the concern of human-centered approach.
