The research purports to understand, according to the offensive-defensive record, the influence of offensive-defensive techniques on victory or defeat of female collegiate first level basketball tournaments among 12 universities. With literature review and tournament data collected in 2011 academic year, the research discusses the importance of victory or defeat of single tournament and offensive-defensive records while comparing the difference among universities in terms of factors affecting victory or defeat and offensive-defensive statistics, as a reference to later practices and tournaments for basketball teams of universities. Descriptive statistics is applied to offensive-defensive records of 12 participative universities to know each university's tournament profile and compare the difference in all techniques among all participants. Logistic regression model is adopted for statistical analysis to find out the relationship between victory or defeat of each university and each offensive-defensive technique. The statistical software R is used to analyze binary logistic regression model based on offensive-defensive statistics. It shows that number of defensive rebound and scoring are the factors that mostly affect victory or defeat.
