In order to sketch the rich meanings referred in Wong Kar-wai's films, the theory of this paper is based on Nietzche and Deleuze's philosophical perspectives to investigate the continuity v.s. discontinuity, repetitions v.s. differences and Eternal return existing between '2046' and '2047' in Wong Kar-wai's 2046. The numbers of 2046 and 2047 in Wong Kar-Wai's 2046 also show their complicated indications for continuity and discontinuity. This paper aimed to analyze two main issues, one is about the question of departure and return, the other is the rich implications of referentiality in Wong Kar-wai's 2046.
