The complete works is a collection of all types of published and unpublished works created by a single writer. Such an advanced collection creates a new literature type and makes a great contribution to literature conservation.Complete works were continually published since 1960s in Taiwan; however it has notable performance on collecting, organizing, editing, and publishing of complete works in recent years due to the support from authors' family and important figures in cultural sector.Books editing is the process of re-bibliography involving author's idea and cognition. The editor could re-edit the collected documents in any era. The form of complete works of Taiwanese contemporary authors is varied, and the definition given by different editors is also distinct. These two factors lead to varied types of complete works. The main purpose of this study is to discuss the types of complete works of Taiwanese contemporary authors through the generalization and analysis of collected data.
