As materials of the ”General Catalog of the Complete Library of the Four Treasuries” are successively published over the past decade, scholars have developed new viewpoints and new understandings of this fundamental work. Of all the present manuscripts of the ”General Catalog”, Ji Xiao-Lan's edition, now collected by Tianjin Library, is the lastly finished and the first copied and published one. It is an extremely important material for studies on the ”General Catalog”, because it is a first-hand material that reveals the compilation methods and editing guidelines of the ”General Catalog”. The current paper investigates the compilation time of Ji's edition to locate it in the development of the ”General Catalog”, and confirms its value so as to offer reference to the academic circles.
