教育部九年一貫制中小學新課程，將「探索教育」列入綜合活動學習領域十大指定單元之一，形成教育政策中的一環，國中時期是青少年成長時期一個動盪的階段，在此時接到體驗教育可帶來正面之成效，本研究以新北市萬里國中為個案研究，以文獻分析法介紹萬里國中如何以體驗教育為學校本位課程。萬里國中的學校本位課程以體驗教育方案為方法，設計以萬里國中為主體，利用新北市萬里區背山面海的自然資源，發展萬里國中的學校特色，讓學生經歷這些體驗教育活動，在活動中主動且具體的體驗學習歷程，體驗教育課程的體驗帶回日常生活中，再次經由老師以及同學引導下強化，深刻其學習。
