The purposes of this study were, first,to discuss bikeway users’ situations under various participative conditions, environmental awareness based on participation, recreational behaviors, and recreational motivation: second, to examine the relationships among bikeway users’ environmental awareness, recreational behaviors, and recreational motivation, by using a leisure motivations questionnaire, a leisure behaviors questionnaire, and an environmental perception questionnaire. We distributed 280 questionnaires and received 261 responses (retrieval rate 93%). We analyzed the data by using a one-way t-test and hierarchical regression. The results are listed as follows:(1) The frequency of participation caused differences in leisure behaviors and leisure motivation. The time of cycling significantly influenced leisure behaviors. (2) Environmental perception, leisure behaviors, and leisure motivation exhibited a highly positive correlation. (3) Leisure motivation mediated environmental perception and leisure behaviors.
