海量資料已經是資訊應用的大趨勢,隨著對大量資料進行收集、處理、分析的方法、流程和工具愈趨成熟,使得海量資料的應用層面愈來愈廣泛;網路社群是另一個資訊應用的大趨勢,為數眾多的網路人口願意在虛擬社群上架構龐大而交錯的訊息交換管道,使得網路社群的服務愈加具有智慧。然而,網路社群的力量加上海量資料運算的能力,是否會創造出新的應用類型以及商務模式?卻鮮少被提出來探討。本文以兩個資訊系統雛型為例,分別就海量資料運算在公民服務與智慧生活科技應用的角度,論述網路社群力量賦予海量資料應用的商機與挑戰,期望能為海量資料運算開啟一個值得投入的研究方向,也為網路社群力量加值資訊服務創新提出足資參考的觀點。
Big Data (BD) has been a main stream of information application. As the maturity of the methods, procedures, and tools for accessing, processing, as well as analyzing a great amount of data, BD is emerging its wide spectrum of applications. Besides, virtual community (VC) is also an essential trend of information application. The interconnected networks enabling message interchange among social network members make VC services become smarter. However, whether the combination of the power of VC and the capability of BD computing may create new applications or business models is less investigated. This paper discusses the business opportunities and challenges of inviting the power of VC to BD applications through introducing two proposed BD-oriented prototypes aiming at citizen service and smart living application. The research findings of this paper may not only indicate a new research direction of BD computing, but also provides considerable viewpoints on VC added service innovation.
