由於科技的進步,醫療技術的發達,人類的壽命不斷的延長,台灣自1993年起已正式進入,且在2017年將邁入高齡社會,由於老年人口的驟增,將會衍生出不少有關於社會、健康、心理等多方面的高齡者問題。從過去的實證研究發現,規律的運動是成功老化的最佳途徑,然運動動機具有動態性,會因時、因人、因運動環境及因情境不同而有所改變,高齡者因個人背景認知與運動經驗過程的不同,會有不同的運動參與強度、表現、持續性與情緒,亦即高齡者的運動需求與動機會隨人生不同階段而異。因此,如何掌握高齡者運動機設計與策略,將是運動指導者一項重要的課題。本文檢視有效的高齡者運動動機模式與運動之效益,融合成為一項活動設計,希望有助國內教師或運動指導員在實際指導高齡者運動之參考。
