本文在探討毒品防制與社會工作的專業關係，並瞭解社會工作在此專業領域中所能發揮的功能，首先瞭解毒品的特質與種類，然後再深入探討毒品犯罪內涵、毒品防制與社會工作關係，以及介紹各國戒治處遇模式。總結我國當前毒癮戒治之主要問題在於：戒癮人力資源不足、欠缺成癮性與毒癮改善評估、處遇措施無法因應戒癮所需、戒治工作挶限機構內、社會整體戒癮資源仍有待發展以及毒品防制相關法令應具體建構社會工作的定位、跨專業團隊合作的機制應儘速建立、矯治社會工作師應正式納編。最後，藉由了解西方的戒治處遇成效經驗，能夠帶給國內實務單位檢討與建議參考。
The aticle exploring the professional relationship between drug abuse prevention and social work. And understanding the function of social work in the drug abuse prevention professional field. The first, knowing the characteristics and type about drug. Secondly, exploring drug abuse contents. The third, the contents about drug prevention and social work. The fourth introducing the mode of drug-user treatment in many countries. In conclude, the study put forward the problems and difficulties mainly consentrate on the lack of manpower for addiction and treatment implement, the short of evaluation for addition improvement, treatment treasures can not meet the reality need, the treatment program only focus on the institutions, the deficiency of criminal justice flexibility, and the prospect of development in addiction and treatment sources, and the aticle suggestions the social work Licentiate in the government, cross professional workers partner etc. By way of understanding the experience of the drug abstention and treatment on the We forwarst, we look forward to giving some reference materials for many units.
