Taking hermeneutics method, this study explored Shen Yen's thoughts, tried to understand his ethics concepts and interpreted from the perspective of sport ethics. Meanwhile it absorbed possible inspiration direction for reference. Firstly, this study made a preliminary description on basic outline of ethical thought in Shen Yen's thoughts. Secondly, it explored the ideas and viewpoints of Buddhist Ethics. Finally, it interpreted the possible inspiration of ethical relation and violence in sports based on this. It was found that Shen Yen's idea on ethics was centered on oriental thoughts and focused on interpersonal construction and interaction. The fundamental point was established on Buddhist thoughts. Hence, the inspiration obtained was that it focused on the master of mind and thought that sport nature lies on mutual improvement to form benign competition. The reason for behaviors against sports ethics was that both sides were induced by desires which resulted in cutthroat competition. Lastly, the study stressed that sports ethics had dialogue and complementary space for development in eastern and western thoughts. More topics on sports ethics can be developed and interpreted in the future.
