王陽明（1472-1529），乃明代心學集大成者。提倡所謂「心即是理」、「知行合一」與「致良知」之說。強調「聖人之道，吾性自足」，「心外無物」、「心外無理」、「心理為一」。是以至善只求諸心，一切由心出發，只問這個「心」安不安即是「事理」。然此「心」意即其所謂的「良知」。此「良知」說對後來思想界影響很大。然在陽明漫長的「人生之旅」中，雖不斷創發出「心學」思想，但是殊不知其「詩歌」創作卻是伴其一生的過程。所以陽明先生除了是位心學家、教育家、軍事家之外，更是一位極具文學天賦的詩人。在其《王陽明全集》（吳光等編，上海古籍出版社，2011年）中，陽明的詩歌共611首。從其詩中可以看出陽明心學思想發展的軌跡與脈絡。重要是其善於將詩與心學思想熔於一爐，值得一提的是陽明的詩不僅表現其性情外，更是其「傳道」之據，這在中國詩歌史上頗為鮮見的。尤其「哲理詩」更是其一生自覺追求「聖賢」人格的寫照。其晚年詩作更是直接將「良知」作為歌詠的對象，因此，有人稱其此時的詩為「良知詩」。陽明以心觀物，是以萬物盡帶「良知」色彩，其反映在詩歌上，不僅言「志」，更是「以情傳理」，表達了一位儒者的情懷。然其詩中究竟傳達了多少情與理？陽明詩中的「情」與「理」究竟是甚麼內容？與其學說有無關係？諸如此類問題，則是本論文所欲探究的。
