The purpose of this study was based on the theory of goal orientation and achievement motivation, to understand the different background of ages, ball ages, study stage and study year in goal orientation and achievement motivation on the collegiate tennis players. To use Goal-Orientation Scale and Achievement Motivation Scale as a research tool, 348 tennis players that to participate in the 2010 National College Games (male = 205, with the average age of 20.45 years; female = 143, with the average age of 20.36 years). The response rate of questionnaire was 93.73%. Using the two-way ANOVA was as a study tool. The results of this study found that: the different groups in achievement motivation reached significant level, high work, high ego orientation was greater than high work, low ego orientation, greater than the low work, high ego orientation and low work, low ego orientation. These results were quite consistent with the theoretical basis. Base on the findings, the study suggested that future research can proceed in different gender, national team or not, A,B group and technical standard, etc., to do further research, have reached more complete results.
