隨著心理衛生工作日趨複雜化，單一專業的工作方式已經出現瓶頸，因而有愈來愈多學者呼籲心理衛生專業工作者彼此間必須要合作共治。專業間合作被定義為來自不同背景的多個身心健康照護專業工作者與個案、家庭和社區同心協力進行合作，以提供最高品質的照護服務。許多政策性與研究性的文獻都表示專業間合作的模式不僅有效，而且是心理衛生專業工作要達到具競爭力、節省成本以及文化回應性（culture response）等目標的必要關鍵因素（Levett-Jones, Gilligan, Lapkin, & Hoffman, 2012; McClelland & Kleinke, 2013）。在台灣，近幾年亦常聽聞社工師、諮商心理師、臨床心理師、關懷訪視員、精神科醫師等心理衛生專業工作者們強調合作（張曉佩，2012），可見在心理衛生服務輸送過程中，專業間的合作共治已有必要性，且其重要性日漸顯著。本文嘗試就心理衛生專業間的合作共治內涵與現況做進一步的闡述。
