Qianhai, Hengqin and Nansha as the leading regions of cross-border cooperation, have constituted three cooperative platforms of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao together in the nation’s “the Twelfth Five-year Plan”. These three regions are close to each other geographically, and what kind of relationship will they have when they all have undertaken the function of regional development. This article makes comparisons from the perspective of their background, location and developing space, orientation and industry planning, institutional arrangement. It then puts forward some suggestions for priorities in future cooperation.
