馬萬祺是澳門華人領袖、愛國詩人，其詩詞作品量多質優，思想性藝術性兼備，是當代澳門史乃至中國歷史風雲變幻的真實記錄，被稱為“澳門詩史”。從不同視角對馬萬祺作品進行挖掘、梳理與分析，探討其詩史思維，以詩觀史，以詩證史，論證其“詩史”價值與意義，以期將馬萬祺及其詩詞研究推向深入。這將有助於加深認識馬萬祺其人其文，並拓寬馬萬祺與澳門當代史關係的研究。

Ma Man Kei was one of the Chinese community leaders in Macau and a patriotic poet. His had written large quantities of high quality poetry works, with high ideological and artistic values. His poems truthfully recorded the history of Macau and mainland China, and were regarded as “A History of Macau in Poems”. Through literature review and analysis, this paper attempts to discuss the mentality behind his poems and assessing their values and significance, so that the studies of his poems could be deepened in order to draw a more complete picture of the life and works of Ma and to expand the scope of studies between Ma and the contemporary history of Macau.
