PURPOSE: Investigate the differences between Taiwanese junior male tennis players and challenger level players in their scoring tactics, specifically in the service games. METHOD: For the purpose of this research, the research uses San Tai Zhi cup (Challenger level) every match from the round of 32. (total of 31 matches), and O.P.I LevelATaiwan National Junior Championship 16/U every match from quarter finals (total of 7 matches) to collect necessary data to conduct this research (total of 38 matches and 40 players). Data collection for this research was analyzed by two-wayANOVAmixed design. RESULT: The performance of different level players in three stages of scoring within service games (the three stages include service winners, return winner, and rally winner) have mutual effects. (F=69.326, P<0.5) Challenger level players typically have more service winners and return winners, while junior players have more rally winner during each service game. CONCLUSION: The scoring tactic of challenger players in service games relies on service winners, while the scoring tactic of junior players in service games relies on rally winners.
