The purpose of this study aimed to explore leisure involvement and leisure benefits for Kaohsiung area high school teachers. A total of 575 high school teachers from Kaohsiung area served as subjects. All subjects were asked to complete demographic data, leisure involvement scale and leisure benefit scale. The one-way MANOVA and Canonical Correlation statistics methods were used to analyze the collected data. The result indicated that: (1) male high school teachers had higher scores in attractiveness involvement, central involvement and self-performance involvement than female high school teachers; (2) Kaohsiung area high school teachers’ “high attractiveness involvement, high central involvement and high self-performance involvement” leisure involvement pattern were correlated with high school teachers’ “high physical benefit, high psychological benefit and high social benefit” leisure benefit pattern. Conclusion and Suggestion: To improve the proportion of female teachers to participate in recreational activities, it is suggested that schools should be more organized recreational activities and encourage the participation of female teachers, and then develop regular exercise habits, enhance physical and mental health.
