研究旨在回顧近年來以認真性休閒為主的相關研究論著，並以內容分析法剖析近十五年來（1997年至 2011年）國內外期刊，對於認真性休閒在各種研究典範之應用。蒐集近十五年來國內外有關認真性休閒的期刊共 22篇，針對期刊研究背景、研究相關特徵、樣本特性、研究工具、資料處理方式使用情形等進行內容分析，研究結果發現，在年代的部分以近五年為主；作者人數的部分 2人以上為主。在研究變項部分以認真性休閒的角度探討休閒參與者之休憩行為及相關之延伸變項。在樣本特性部分以有效樣本數以 200以上為主；取樣方法主要採便利抽樣；研究對象以業餘從事者為主。在研究工具的部分，研究方法以調查法為主；研究類型以量化研究為主；資料分析的部分以內容分析為主；研究變項大多以 Stebbins過往研究之問卷或架構為主。期能對後續研究有所啟示與幫助。

The study mainly focuses on reviewing the related research about Serious Leisure, and uses content analysis to analyze domestic and foreign journals in the recent fifteen years (from 1997 to 2011) which are about the application of Serious Leisure in every kind of research paradigm. The study collects 22 domestic and foreign journals which are related to Serious Leisure in the recent 15 years, and analyzes toward the content of the background of the studies, related features of the studies, the characteristics of samples, research tools, and methods of dealing with the data of those journals. As the result, in the part of research year, those are mainly in the recent five years. The numbers of authors are mainly above two authors. In the part of variables, they discuss the leisure participators’ behavior of leisure and recreation from the point of Serious Leisure, and the related extended variables. In the part of characteristics of the samples, they mainly use those whose effective samples are above 200. The method of sampling is based on convenience sampling. The objectives of the study are mainly amateur participators. In the part of research tools, they use survey as the main research method. The research type is mainly based on quantitative research. In the part of data analysis, they are mainly based on content analysis. The research variables are mainly based on the questionnaire and structure of the study of Stebbins before. They hope that the study can be useful and inspiring for the follow-up study.
