Objectives: Most of the caregivers on the wards are Indonesians, and often causea misunderstanding in nursing education because of language barriers, which leads to poor accuracy (41.3%) in the execution of isolation protection measures and 49 points in cognition testing. In an effort to avoid an in-hospital infection outbreak and an increase in medical expenditures, the most efficient way to stop spreading antibiotic-resistant bacteria is to complete isolation protection measures and block the routes of infection. Methods: A checklist and questionnaire were used to determine the main issue, then provide the solutions including making an educational film of the isolation ward with Chinese and Indonesian subtitles, and posting five educational posters adjacent to the isolation ward entrance with a QR code that links to the film using mobile phones. An evaluation was performed to examine caregivers with cognition testing 1 day after watching the film, and the checklist was re-used for 3 consecutive days to score the accuracy of implementation in isolation protection measures. Results: There was 95.3% accuracy in execution of isolation protection measures and 97.7 points in cognition testing, which achieved the goal. Conclusions: By combining an educational film with the QR code, it is more convenient to help foreign caregivers learn isolation protection measures in their mother language with a mobile technique.
