Employee assistance programs (EAPs) is established to provide a set of planned programs in order to promote the welfare of employees and improve their productivity. Based on the literature review, this paper introduces the concept of EAPs including definitions, service content, service delivery systems, program models, and service principles. In addition, this paper introduces the application of EAPs in the public sector (Taipei City Government) and private sector (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company). This paper should provide clear implementation content and usage condition, department cooperation, barriers and challenges regarding EAPs. The objective of the research is to propose some feasible implementation strategies for practical organization.
