This study investigated the experience of the function, influence and importance of mobile intelligent devices for 5 years old children in urban areas of mainland china. In this study, purposive sampling was used to select 47 children aged 5 years in Y kindergarten in Chongqing as the research object, and the data were collected by individual interviews. The six main findings of this study are as follows: (1) The proportion of children who prefer to use mobile intelligent devices is higher, reaching 72.3%; (2) The experience of children using mobile intelligent devices is generally relaxed and cheerful; (3) Children understand a variety of functions of mobile intelligent devices; (4) Children are aware of the positive and negative effects of using mobile intelligent devices; (5) Children believe that mobile intelligent devices play an important role in people's lives; (6) Mobile intelligent devices are not the first choice for children in situations where other traditional activities are available.
