Operational risk management is a continual cyclic six-step process which includes risk identification, risk evaluation, risk analysis, risk decision making, implementation of risk controls, monitor and review. This research studies the implementation of operational risk management to aircraft avionics equipment fault maintenance. Operational Risk Management Integration Tool (ORMIT) was used to evaluate, analyze and promote aircraft avionics equipment fault maintenance. The results show that there were 82 aircraft avionics equipment faults in 2015 before promoting operational risk management, including 69 low/medium risk faults and 13 high risk faults. The number of aircraft avionics equipment faults was decreased to 52 aircraft avionics equipment faults in 2018, including 44 low/medium risk faults and 8 high risk faults.
