The purpose of this paper is to interpret the concept of "ideology" concept and its implications for education in Taiwan through the perspectives of P. Ricoeur, H. Alexander, and Shen-Keng Yang. Therefore, this paper conducted the following investigations:(1) analyzed Ricoeur's discourse on ideology and the relevant concepts; (2) explored Alexander's interpretation and critique on the relevant theories of ideology; and (3) examined Shen-Keng Yang's discourse on ideology. Based on findings from the investigations mentioned above, this paper concludes by providing implications and suggestions for education.
