The global pandemic of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), in response to the epidemic, the community promotes "safe social distance", resulting in a profound impact on the operation of dementia community service centers. During the epidemic prevention period, some dementia community service bases used digital technology to change physical courses to online courses. Through the participation of online courses, a virtual interactive environment for people with dementia was created to increase their social interaction. However, the feasible and sustainable of these programs is worth evaluating, so this study will explore the experience and perception of people with dementia participating in the online courses of the Dementia Community Service Center. In this study, in-depth interviews of qualitative research were used as data collection methods, and 9 cases of 4 persons with dementia and 5 family members of dementia were collected by semi-structured interviews as research cases. In order to achieve the integrity of the interview data collection, after obtaining the consent of the interviewee, the researcher will use recording equipment such as mobile phones and voice recorders to record the entire interview process, and then gradually convert the recorded content into written data, and then use the system to record the data. Aggregation and classification of qualitative data for quantification and conceptualization. Analyses and discussions of the research results will present in the content. General speaking, most of the dementia respondents said they preferred physical courses, but they chose online courses because they were unable to go out due to the epidemic. However, most of the respondents have a positive attitude towards participating in the online course. This research suggests that in order to improve the participation of dementia families in online courses, in addition to choosing to use video software with high penetration rate and easy operation, it is recommended to compile a simple online course operation manual, so that the demented person or his family can follow the steps in the operation manual, smooth access to online courses to enhance participation.
