The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the human figure drawing (same sex) and the personality traits revealed by Eysenck's Maud• sley Personality Inventory. The subjects of this study are 1595 (male 940, female 655) students sampled from eight fields of study, seven universities in Taipei area. The major findings of this study are as follows: 　　1. It is found that those who are high in Introversion showed more frequently in their drawings: a. profile gesture, b. midline emphasis, c. shading, and d. special line forms; while Extraverts tend to draw more a. only head or upper torso and b. large size figures. 　　2. Those who have low scores on Neuroticism gave more a. left placement, b. small size figures; while those who are high in Neuroticism tend a. to draw legs and feet being chopped off by the paper, in small size, or completely neglected. 　　3. However there is no significant difference on either Extroversion-Introversion or Neuroticism between those who exhibit any particular drawing characteristic and those who does not. 　　4. About half (50.66%) of the subjects identified the figures drawn as either themselves or someone similar to their age, sex, or social status.
