本文試圖藉由一些簡要的原則與步驟，透過語文的音樂處理，將詩詞的音樂特質 呈現出來，為語文與音樂之關聯建立基本架構，作為譜曲的依據。作者以「三國演義卷首 詞」為例，從旨趣、結構、節奏與旋律四旁面探討語文的音樂處理；並提出掌握聲情、選擇 體式、擬定結構與組織、擬定節奏、譜寫旋律與編寫和聲六個譜曲步驟。

　　　　　The authors suggest some principles by way of the music arrangements of Chinese language, to show the traits of Chinese ancient poems—Shiu and Tsyr. Their purpose is to found the basic connection between language and music, and to supply music composing some basic reference. They discuss the music arrangements from four dimensions of language: theme and style, structure, rhythm and melody. They also contribute six steps of music composing: in charge of the emotion, choose the performing type, draft the structure and texture, propose the rhythm, compose the melody and arrange the harmony.
