　　　　　完善的規劃與實施是圖書館自動化成功的基礎，固書館必須擬訂周密完備的計劃，投入最大的人力物力，以達到系統功能完備、運作順利的目標。本文即針對圖書館自動化系統規劃與實施過程中應注意事項進行探討，包括確定系統需求、寄發RFP、廠商評選、簽訂合約、空間準備、系統裝置、教育訓練、系統測試、系統維護等，並論及回溯性書目資料轉換及相關檔案轉換等工作。
