　　　　　The American medical libraries cooperative network hasbeen established from 1965 under the lead of National Libraryof Medicine (NLM). This network, consisting of variousmembers in scale from well-established health sciences academiclibraries to one-man service hospital libraries, is the biggestmedical libraries cooperative network in the world. It has notonly contributed to medical libraries for the promotion oftheir collections and services, but also facilitated medicalprofessionals in their health care services, research and teachingactivities. The following article describes the history, organization, education and services of the medical libraries cooperative network. By this way we can prospect its trend andinfluence in the future.
