The professional education of industrial safety and hygiene is developing in the juniorcolleges but not in the universities or graduate schools which have only related departments. Afteranalyzing the role of junior college in the cultivation of the labour safety and healthadministrators under current educational circumstances, it is found that: (1) The graduates ofjunior colleges are accepted by manpower market, and can pass the nation's high examination.(2) The junior colleges should be responsible for the cultivation of labour safety and hygienemanpower at this stage. (3) The junior colleges of pharmacy may develop industrial hygiene, andthe technical junior colleges develop industrial safety. (4) The industrial safety engineer'sprofessional high examination should be seprated from industrial engineering in order to have abetter linkage in the educational system. (5) The complete educational system of industrial safetyand hygiene should be established with the least delay.
