Bibliometrics has its origin in library science. All "laws" of bibliometrics are squarely built around the contents of bibliographical records. This paper analyzes 228 sample articleson bibliometrics for the period from 1971 through 1991.The purpose is to identify noted authors, core journals, publishing countries, as well as the subjects in the field of bibliometrics. The concept of "nucleus" derived from Bradford's law of scattering is reexamined. Lotka's law is found to be applicable to author productivity distribution with n =1.8984. The K-S test is also utilized to test the validities of both observed and calculated distributions at 0.01 level of significance.
