     由於品牌廠商面對仿冒者的情形,其實和創新廠商面對模仿者的情況非 常類似。所以,相對於後者專利權保護措施的採行,一般皆主張採取嚴格取締仿 冒的方式來糾正因為仿冒品的出現市對真品生產廠商的創新意願造成的扭曲。本 文在一般化的Grossman&Shapiro(1988)均衡仿冒品模型架構下發現:不論社會中消 費者的偏好分配函數係呈何種型態,對於仿冒品僅止於沒收取締而不課以罰鍰, 或者,雖課有罰鍰但罰鍰不夠高時,仿冒品的取締都反而會使廠商降低其從事產 品創新的意願。
     We generalized the framework of Grossman & Shapiro (1988) andexamined the impact of combating counterfeiting on brandname firm'sproduct innovation activities. It is shown that, if the amount of fine forcounterfeiting is small, harsher enforcement will dull brandname firm'sincentive of innovation, irrespective of the curvature properties of tastedistribution.
