This paper aims to discuss the application of hypermedia concepts to library guiding systems. Since the characteristics of hypermedia, such as multimedia information representation, networking structure, non-linear inquiry and interactivity, are suitable for designing a guiding system, the Guiding System of the Instructional Resources Center of the National Open University was developed based on the design concepts. It is hoped that the System will serve as an electronic personnel who provides an overview of the Center and answers to the often-asked questions. The System consists of six sections (1) Introduction to the Center, (2) Services Provided, (3) Regulations, (4) Location of the Browsing Room, (5) Bulletin Board, (6) New Arrivals.
