The purpose of this study is to compare the criteria and contents of three standards of library statistics, including: Information and Documentation-International Library Statistics (ISO 2789: 1991) , Library Statistics (CNS 13151) and Statistical Standard of Information and Documentation Organization (GB/T 13191-91). The comparison includes three parts: scope, definitions and reporting of statistical data. The last part also includes several subparts: general, time period to which data refer, libraries, personnel resources, finances, collection resources, facilities and equipments, services and utilization of resources, and computer use.
