     自動化圖書館作業方式對於傳統以採訪、期刊、編目功能劃分工作之 技術服務部門衝擊最大,本文之研究目的主要在探討技術服務組織結構之現況, 其面臨外在環境改變所因應之道及未來發展趨勢,主要以大學圖書館為研究對 象。研究方法採用文獻分析法與個案研究法。首先藉管理學之組織理論以探究組 織結構之意義、種類,其次分析圖書館之特性、組織之結構與面臨之改變。再探 討技術服務之意義、歷史沿革與結構組織,並陳述現今技術服務面臨之改變與原 來組織結構遭遇之批評。本文並採用個案分析方式,分別敘述美國西瑞克斯大學 (Syracus University)圖書館、耶魯大學(Yale University)圖書館、威斯康辛大 學麥迪遜校區(University of Wisconsin-Madison)圖書館、路易斯佛爾大學 (University of Louisville)圖書館、與德克薩斯農工大學(Texas A & M University) 圖書館之技術服務重組經驗,以歸納技術服務組織結構之未來發展趨勢。

The five cases are studied,including Syracuse University Libraries, Yale University Libraries,University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries, University of Lousville Libraries, and Texas A & M UniversityLibraries.
