The purpose of this study is to provide the ways to carry out inservice training for teachers who are now in early childhood special education. The rationale and definition of inservice training are discussed in the first part of the study. Considerations, strategies and characteristics of inservice training in early childhood special education are also mentioned in the study. An inservice planning based on the Competency-based process is introduced and the forms developed by the author are presented. The major features of the competency-based inservice training are: 1.Indentification of teacher'competencies 2.Needs assessment 3.Choosing topics based on the needs assessment 4.Identification of alternatives 5.Evaluation for implementation
