The prupose of this research is to develop a productivity measurement model for manufacturing systems, as well as an evaluation framework to identify major factors for productivity improvement. The research scope is confined at unit level and manufacturing system is selected. First, productivity management model for company level is reviewed and revised for manufacturing system level. Then, a case study is conducted to validate the model being developed. Additionally, major factors for productivity improvement are identified using partialfactor productivity index, they are direct-labor productivity, indirect-labor productivity, capacity rating and employee mobility. The results show the followings: (1) a productivity management model revised for manufacturing systems; (2) identification of major factors for productivity improvement through the measurement and evaluation model being developed; and (3) a framework for developing decision support system for productivity management and improvement.
