從民國77到84短短7年間供公眾使用建築物火災，最少就奪走358條以上寶貴的生命。建築設計不能再停留於造型或式樣層次，還必需包含適合人類使用的機能層面，尤其是供公眾使用建築物之避難通道，更應考慮人類行為，使在此類建築物中遭遇火災時徬徨無助的人們，能安全逃離。本研究利用文獻回顧法，建立出建築物火災時人類的逃生避離行為模式；利用此模式分析篩選21件國內供公眾使用建築物火災案例，並將平面區分為密閉平面、開放平面及複合平面三類，分別比較其行為為特性；建立出國人在供公眾使用建築物火災時所可能產生之逃生避難行為模式；將國人行為模式與相關法規進行比較，探討法規條文與行為模式間之相關程度；實地調查臺中市現有12家電影院避難通道設置現況；最後建立出供公眾使用建築物逃生避難通道設計準則，俾供建築相關業者日後設計類型邁築物時依據參考。

　　　　　Between 1988 and 1995, at least three hundred fifty eight lifes were Lost in the fire of public buildings. When architect design architecture, they should not only focus on form and style but also consider the function for human use, especially the evacuation route. We ought to consider human's behavior, when we design the evacuation route, and let the helpless people escape from the building. The author uses exploratory research to construct the evacuation behavior model of human in building fire. And the author takes advantage of the model to select twenty two cases of public building fire in Taiwan to construct the evacuation behavior model of Chinese in building fire. Then the author compares the behavior model of Chinese in public building fire with the related regulation. The author investigated the evacuation route of twelve theaters in Taichung. At last, the author constructs the regulations of evacuation route. I hope I can explore what design of evacuation route can help people escape from fire by means of the research of people's evacuation behavior.
