Atrium building needs much more concern upon fire safety requirements. It is, Very large extent, due to specified construction design relatively compared with other buildings. Therefore the whole Hazard Prevention Strategy, including fire prevention, is necessary to provide safety of life, proposal will take the issue of fire safety as the first step towards the whole definition of atrium building and related fire characteristics work include definition of atrium building and related fire characteristics will be conducted. Futthermore, questionnaire for Taipei area will be carried out for obtaining adequate information describing present or inherent problems related to current execution of hazard prevention strategy. The aim of work is to provide a reasonable basis of drafting Hazard Prevention Strategy in the future.
