題名:製造部門角色與製造策略的實證研究--資訊/電子業

     本研究主要先對製造部門角色階段加以區分,然後探討不同角色階段對製造策略 的影響,並以資訊╱電子業作為實證研究的對象。這是過去有關製造策略之研究領域中較少 被探討者,且亦未曾有相關的實證研究之文獻。因此,本研究可謂具有首創性。 根據本研究結果,臺灣地區的資訊╱電子業確可依 Hayes & Wheelwright (1984) 所提出的 製造活動特徵的幾個構面,將製造部門角色區分為高、中、低三個階段,而且不同的創造部 門角色階段對製造目標與製造決策等製造策略的構面有顯著的影響,其中高階段的製造部門 角色之廠商,其製造策略類型屬於「全面型製造策略」,低階段的廠商則屬於「技術與組織 重組的製造策略」。
     This research first discriminates the manufacturing department's roles, then explore the impact of manufacturing department's roles on manufacturing strategy, and doing empirical research for information and electronics industries. These are the issues seldom discussion on the theory basis or lacking empirical research. Thus, this research is so innovative within this research area. Based on this research, we conclude that information and electronics industries of Taiwan might be discriminated high, medium and low stage of manufacturing roles by Hayes & Wheelwright (1984) developed their views for manufacturing strategic roles (four stage). Further, different manufacturing department's roles has impact on manufacturing strategy, including manufacturing objectives and manufacturing decision. In summary, high stage roles of manufacturing department could belong to "the holistic manufacturing strategy", and the low stage of firm belong to "technology and organiza- tion rebuilding strategy".
